Resident Evil: Racist?

There has been a huge Brouhaha with the next upcoming Resident Evil game, Called Resident Evil 5 or something to that effect. In the 4th installment of the game, the protagonist was in some sort of Latin country (Spain perhaps?) so all of the zombies were Latino. Now the new game is set in Africa. Which is a perfectly good fit seeing as voodoo and zombeism started in Africa. But there are those who are suggesting this is racist.

Zombiesm comes from the West African Vondun (pronounced voodoo)

The strange question now is why was Raccoon city almost exclusively white?

My question is why?

We’ve all killed thousands of what I’m guessing are Anglo Saxon zombies. We’ve even killed more than a few Spanish zombies back in RE4.

Shouldn’t everybody get their fair turn?

As the game has finally come out I still see no intentional harm by the Resident Evil creative team. I understand that some people are upset with it and though I can’t and won’t try to change their minds, I would say try to take the game for what it is. A zombie game that just happens to be set in Africa this time around.

Now what is in store for RE6? I’ve heard they’re totally redoing the Resident Evil series. However I’d like to make a last minute plea. Could we set RE6 in the frigid Arctic along with zombie Eskimos and baby harp seals? I mean wouldn’t it be fun  to be chased by rabid zombies either wearing fur coats or actual fur? And to make sure we offend no one we can play as Tofu (who made anappearance in Resident Evil 2). And his sidekick could be a bloody slab of meat so we get both sides of the spectrum. Like Shaun of the Dead, I think Resident Evil should have a good laugh and spoof itself. Maybe get some of the amazing voice acting from the first game to make a reappearance.
